A side note… for cases and organization…

My evolution in module housing in a nutshell.

  1. Modules in 19″ rails in an Ikea side table converted into a 19″ rack. That didn’t last long.
  2. Yellow Synthrotek waterproof 7U cases — one 104HP, powered by a Five Amp, and one 84HP, powered by a CP1A. This lasted a long time and sits well on A-frame guitar stands. However, I was looking to slim down the whole presentation and keep everything very close to the NiftyKeyz.
  3. Therefore I chose the Befaco 7U 104HP cases. Two of them. They have more than adequate power; with the right modules they can even input or output from the case into a mixer with proper line levels; and they’re VESA mountable.

However, I had a lot of trouble choosing the right VESA stand. My table isn’t strong, so I didn’t want a clamping arm that would damage the table or break through the surface. I can’t use the wall behind the table because it’s got wall-mounted mirrors. And every VESA mount I found had questionable weight support. So I built 3D-printed stands that did the job just fine. However, the stands and my cases were still on an elevated shelf above my NiftyKeyz, and inconvenient to reach sitting down.

User /u/NikNakDoingCrack on reddit, responding to another user having this same dilemma, suggested these:

I looked, and they have a high maximum weight, which is great. They arrived today, and I’m really happy with my current rig. Everything’s really close together, stable and happy.
